Madison Smith, PsyD
Madison Smith is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults navigate life’s transitions in a compassionate, affirming, and empowering environment. With nearly a decade of experience across a variety of medical and mental health settings, Dr. Smith is committed to helping youth address challenges such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, disordered eating, body image concerns, and behavioral issues.
Dr. Smith is dedicated to supporting youth and young adults, as they navigate the complexities of growing up, building self-identity, and managing life’s challenges. Her approach is deeply rooted in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. By fostering a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space, she strives to create an environment where individuals feel understood, valued, and empowered to explore their inner world.
Dr. Smith integrates evidence-based practices, drawing on current scientific research to better understand the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that shape a person’s experience. Her work is grounded in the idea that self-compassion and understanding are essential tools for healing and growth. She believes that every individual has the inherent capacity to cultivate resilience and create positive change in their lives.
A central principle of Dr. Smith’s practice is the understanding that avoidance of discomfort often leads to prolonged suffering. As such, she works with clients to gently confront difficult emotions and situations, building tolerance and coping skills along the way. Through this process, clients learn to navigate obstacles and create a life that is not only more manageable but meaningful and fulfilling.
Dr. Smith is committed to supporting each client on their unique path toward well-being. While obstacles are a natural part of life, through the therapeutic process, clients gain increased competence in navigating these challenges and the ability to let go of what no longer serves them, ultimately building a life that is both meaningful and aligned with their values. Dr. Smith is in-network with Bluecross Blueshield and Medicaid. She sees other clients via her self-pay rates.
Outside of work, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time outdoors with her two dogs, cooking, woodworking, listening to music, and connecting with friends and family.
